HVAC Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and commercial properties. This role is crucial in ensuring that HVAC systems operate efficiently and remain in optimal condition, contributing to the comfort and safety of building occupants. Pay range starting at $19-$25/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform regular maintenance and inspections of HVAC systems, including checking for wear and tear, cleaning, and testing equipment functionality.
• Replace or clean filters, lubricate parts, and clean air ducts as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot minor issues and perform necessary repairs to keep systems running efficiently.
• Ensure that HVAC systems are compliant with local safety codes and regulations.
• Record and document all service and maintenance activities, including any parts used and recommendations for future service.
• Respond to maintenance calls and provide efficient solutions to any HVAC-related issues.
• Advise customers on energy-saving tips and system performance improvements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Communicate effectively with clients, management, and other team members.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (HVAC certification or training is a plus).
• Proven experience as an HVAC Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
• EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
• Experience with both residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
